Why ClipBudget exists

AI video pricing is deliberately hard to compare. One vendor bills per second, another sells credits, a third bundles everything into subscription tiers — and none of them mention the cost that dominates real projects: retakes. ClipBudget was built to cut through that. Every model's pricing is converted into one honest metric — cost per usable second — so you can compare Sora, Veo, Runway, Kling, Seedance, Wan and Vidu on equal terms.

Who builds it

ClipBudget is a project of Birdsong Web Studio, run by an independent web publisher and active AI-video creator based in the Netherlands. The prices here get verified carefully because they're the same prices used in real work — this isn't a directory scraped once and abandoned. When a model ships a new tier or changes a rate, that's noticed firsthand.

How we stay independent

ClipBudget makes money through clearly-labeled affiliate links and (eventually) a newsletter — never through paid placement. No vendor can pay to rank higher, appear cheaper, or change a verdict. Models are ordered by price and fit, full stop. Where we earn a commission, we say so. The full detail is in our editorial policy.

How pricing stays current

Every rate is checked against the vendor's official source and stamped with the date. We re-verify monthly and record changes on the price tracker. Prices still change without notice, so we always recommend confirming the final rate with the provider before a production decision — but the goal is that ClipBudget is the most current independent source you'll find.
